A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH FIXING AND ESTABLISHING SERVICE
CHARGES FOR THE COLLECTION AND DISI°OSI-
TION OF ALL GARBAGE, TRASH, REFUSE AND
DEBRIS IoURSUANT TO SECTIONS 13-14 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized by Sections 13-14
of the Code of Ordinances, City of Boynton Beach, Florida, to fix and
establish the service charge or fee for the collection and disposition of
garbage and trash within the City, and
WHEREAS, By resolution dated the 2nd day of November, 1 959,
and by other resolutions prior thereto, the City Council has from time to
time fixed rates and said rates have become obsolete and inequitable to
many of the residents of the City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has resolved to revise said fees
and rates to equalize the cost of garbage collection and disposition among
the residents of the City and the users of said garbage services,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Boynton Beach, Florida, that the following rate schedule is hereby
established for the disposition of garbage, trash, refuse and debris:
SECTION 1. The sum of $2.00 per month shall be charged for
garbage and trash collection for each family residential unit within the City.
SECTION 2. A family residential unit for the purposes of this
resolution shall include a single family home, each individual apartment in
a duplex or multiple unit apartment, and each individual dwelling unit in all
co-ops and condominiums.
SECTION 3. The following sums shall be charged for garbage,
trash, refuse and debris collections from all commercial establishments
and business houses within the City:

(a) A $4.00 monthly minimum fee for each
corn_rnercial customer receiving minimum
pick-up service, which shall consist of one
ZZ gallon can per day for two pick-ups per
week.
(b) There shall be an additional charge of 80¢
per month for each additional daily pick-up
per week and an additional charge of 10.4~
for each additional can collected by the City
above the minimum of one can per pick-up.
(c) All collections of garbage, trash, refuse and
debris where same is collected in bulk form
rather than in cans, the charge for the
collection of such bulk garbage shall be com-
puted upon the same volume basis as esta-
blished in Section 3 (b) above. The volume
of such bulk collection to be estimated by the
collector.
SECTION 4. Ail persons delivering garbage, trash, refuse
and debris to the City dump shall be charged at the rate of $.40 per cubic
yard, with a minimum charge of $.80 for each dumping, l~ersons using
the City dump as set out in this section shall do so only after purchasing
tickets for said purpose from the City. The City Council specifically
reserves the right to establish administratively, through its City Manager
provisions for waiver of subject service charges for City Dump useage by
individual residents of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida.
SECTION 5. All service charges and fees as established by
this resolution for the collection and disposition of garbage and trash shall
be paid for in advance.

SECTION 6. A family residential unit as set out in Section Z
above shall receive and be entitled to a 5% discount for pre-payment of
one year's collections in advance.
SECTION 7. All prior resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
