69-LRESOLUTION NO. 69 - L
WHEREAS, the present statutory per diem allowance for State,
County and Municipal officials involved in business travel on behalf of their
respective governing bodies, presently set at $20.00 per day,has proved to
be insufficient in the light of increased cost of living,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, that the State Legislature
of the State of Florida is hereby respectfully requested to review the above
statutory limitation in the light of present-day expenses encountered by
State, County and Municipal officials engaged in business travel, and to
increase said allowance to more fairly and equitably meet actual expenses
encountered by said officials. Further, that certified copies of this
Resolution be furnished to the Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation
to the 1969 session of the Florida Legislature and to the Board of County
Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida, and the Florida League
of Municipalities for appropriate action and support.
