69-GRESOLUTION NO. 69 - G
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida,
feels that the existance of a safe, navigable inlet facility at the Boynton Inlet
would prove to be an invaluable asset and would materially augment the
economic growth of the entire South Palm Beach County area; and
WHEREAS, the responsibility for the maintenance and operation of
Said Inlet presently rests with the Board of Commissioners of the South Lake
Worth Inlet District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Board of Commissioners
of South Lake Worth Inlet District be, and they are hereby, respectfully
requested to investigate the feasibility of widening and deepening the existing
Inlet facility at the Boynton Inlet, including the replacement of the existing
bridge spanning said Inlet, and assuming that the feasibility of such a project
is indicated, to undertake the accomplishment of same at the earliest possible
date.
