69-BBRESOLUTION NO. 69-BB WHEREAS, it is anticipated that in connection with certain real estate developments in the areas immediately adjacent and westerly of the existing boundaries of the City of Boynton Beach, applications will be made to the Florida State Board of Health for approval of independent package sewage pla~ts for sewage disposal purposes, and WHEREAS, said areas lie within the Reserve Annexation Area for the City of Boynton Beach, recently granted by the Florida Legislature, and WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the influx of affluent emanating from subject package sewage plants will be placed into the existing canal and drainage systems lying west of the City of Boynton Beach and will be pumped easterly into the municipal limits of said City and Lake Worth, and further, that said affluent will cause pollution of said water and thereby adversely affecl the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of Boynton Beach, and WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach presently has sufficient and adequate sewage treatment facilities to process sewage emanating from subject proposed developments; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, that Florida State Board of Health is hereby respectfully requested to deny application for approval of any independent package sewage plant within the existing Reserve Annexation Area of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and to direc~ developers within said area to provide for sewage treatment through existing municipal facilities.
