A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING A CITY
MANAGER, FIXING HIS TE~ OF OFFICE,
AND COMPENSATION, PROVIDING FOR THE
USE OF A VEHICLE, AND COMPENSATION
FOR MOVING EXPENSES.
WHEREAS, a vacancy presently exists in the appointive
office of City Manager; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to fill sa
vacancy; and
WHEREAS, Grady W. Courtney has been interviewed by the
Council and the Council has deemed him qualified for the position
and
WHEREAS, Grady W. Courtney has agreed to accept the
position of City Manager,

NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Boynton BEach as follows:
1. That Grady W. Courtney is hereby appointed to the
non-classified position of City Manager of the.City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, to serve for an indefinite term. Said appointment
to become effective at 8:00 A.M. June l, 1967. The salary for said
office is hereby fixed at $11,000 per year, payable bi-weekly.
2. That before taking office or as soon thereafter as
possible, the City Manager shall furnish a fidelity bond in the
amount of $20,000 conditioned upon the faithful performance of his
duties with a corporation licensed to do business in Florida. Such
bond shall be filed with the Clerk after being approved by the
City Council.
3. That the City pay one-half of the moving expenses,
not to exceed $250.00 upon presentation of receipts to the City,
showing moving expenses, and in addition, the City shall furnish
a vehicle to the City manager to be used by him for City business.
