A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH REPEALING RESOLUTION 66-A AND
67-D; DESIGNATING DEPOSITORIES FOR
CITY FUNDS; PROVIDING THE METHOD OF
WITHDRAWAL OF SAID FUNDS; PROVIDING
CUSTODIAN AND TRUSTEES FOR CERTAIN
FUNDS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH:
SECTION 1: Depositories Trust Funds.) Ail trust funds of
the City of Boynton Beach be deposited or invested in any federal
savings and loan association chartered under the laws of the United
States, and doing business in the state, and in the shares of any
Florida building and loan association, which is a member of the
Federal Home Loan Bank System, provided that "investment funds"
are limited to the extent that the same are insured by the Federal
Government or an instrumentality thereof.
SECTION 2: Custodians of Trust Funds.) The following
officers are hereby designated as Custodian and Trustee of City
trust funds:
(a) The City Treasurer or successor is designated and
appointed as custodian of the CitX of Boynton Beach General Fund
Trust Account, and the .City of Boynton Beach Meter Deposit Trust
Fund Account.
(b) The Finance Director or successor is hereby designate
and appointed as custodian and trustee of the City of Boynton Beach
Self-Insurance Trust Fund Account and the City of Boynton Beach
Reserve for Disaster Trust Fund Account.
SECTION 3: Withdrawal of Trust Funds;) Ail checks, drafts
and other orders on trust accounts shall be signed by the officers
named as custodian of said trust account, and counter-signed by the
mayor, vice-mayor or city manager.
SECTION 4. Other Funds of the. City.) Ail other funds of
the City of Boynton Beach (not designated as trust funds) may be
deposited as set out in Section 1 of this resolution, and in such
other state and national banks as the council may direct.
SECTION 5. Withdrawal of Funds other than trust funds.)
Ail checks, drafts and other orders (other than trust accounts
hereinabove described) shall be signed by the treasurer and in
the absence of the treasurer to be signed by the Finance Director
and in the absence of the Finance Director by the Deputy Treasurer
and countersigned by the mayor and in the absence of the mayor
by the vice-mayor and in the absence of the vice-mayor by the
City Manager.
SECTION 6.
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 7. Copies to depositories.) A copy of this
resolution shall be furnished to all depositories having funds and
accounts of the city.
