R66-II RESOLUTION NO. 66-II WHEREAS, certain State-owned and maintained roads hereinafter described, lying within the municipal limits of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH are now and have been for the past several years in dire need of major repair;e WHEREAS, the present condition of said thoroughfares constitutes a hazardous condition contrary to the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitant~ of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH has, on nine (9) separate occasions during the past three years, by the adoption of formal resolutions, requested the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County and the Florida State Road Department for relief and repair of subject conditions; and, W}IEREAS, such requested relief has not been forthcoming to datetar such failure has seriously impaired the City's contingent local development plat NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA. THAT the present state of North Second Avenue (State Road 804) and Seacrest Boulevard (State Road 811) within the municipal limits of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, constitutes a hazardous and dangerous condition, which is contrary to the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, as well as other persons utilizing said thoroughfares, and the Board of County Commissioners. of Palm Beach County and the Florida State Road Department, with whom the responsibility for the repair and main- tenance of subject roads rests, are respectfully urged to take immediate steps for the abatement and correction of subject situations hereinabove described and to thereafter maintain subject roads in good condition.
