R66-HHRESOLUTION NO. 66- HH
WHEREAS, the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA has been requested by the Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of
Commerce to dedicate the existing City Park located at the Northeast Corner
of East Ocean Avenue and Northeast 4th Street as "Boynton Beach Veterans~
Memorial Park" for the purpose of commemorating the contribution to local
residents toward the various war efforts of the United States of America; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed fitting and proper that said request be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH FLORIDA:
That the existing City Park located at the Northeast Corner of the
intersection of East Ocean Avenue and Northeast Fourth Street is hereby
designated and shall henceforth be known as "BOYNTON BEACH VETERANS~
MEMORIAL PARK" and the various civic clubs and other interested parties
within the municipality are urged to exert their efforts toward the beautifica-
tion and erection of appropriate memorials within said area commemorating
the memory of local veterans, all subject to prior approval of the City
