R66-VRESOLUTION No. 66-V A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, COMMEMORATING THE MEMORY OF FIRST LIEUTENANT LAWRENCE D. KNUTH, U. S. MARINE CORPS. WHEREAS, the most a citizen can contribute to his nation is his life, while defending the high principles and commitments of his country at home or abroad, and, WHEREAS, one of the citizens of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, has recently paid this extremely high price in the fulfilling of the commitment of this nation in Viet Nam and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, has determined that this great sacrifice should be commemorated by some suitable action; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, that the City of Boynton Beach, hereby acknow- ledges its grea~ indebtedness to the late LAWRENCE D. KNUTH one of its citizens who lately gave his life while in the service of his country in the defense of its principles and commitments in the conflict in Vier Nam; and that the original of this Resolution shall be spread upon the minutes and records of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and a duly certified copy hereof be presented to MARGURITE H. KNUTH in recognition of great sorrow she has sustained in the sacrificing of her son in the cause of his country. DONE AND RESOLVED at a duly constituted meeting of the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida on this 16th day of May, 1966.
