WHEREAS, the County of Palm Beach presently holds title to a
certain tract of acreage consisting of approximately 75 acres, which tract
lies immediately adjacent to a certain 20-acre tract presently owned by the
City of Boynton Beach, Florida; and,
WHEREAS, it is ;the intention and desire of the City of Boynton
Beach to improve and develop said property for park, recreational or other
municipal purposes; and,
WHEREAS, it does not appear that the County of Palm Beach has any
present or future intended plans for the development of subject tract; and,
WHEREAS, said parcel of land is located entirely within the municipa!
limits of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA.
1. That the Board of Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida
is hereby respectfully requested to convey that certain tract of land more
particularly described hereinafter to the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA for utilization by said municipality for municipal purposes:
The North half (1/2) of Section 5, Township 46 South, Range 43
East, Palm Beach County, Florida, LESS the West quarter (1/4)
thereof and LESS that part thereof lying East of Seaboard Airline
Railroad right-of-way and LESS the parcel previously deeded to
the City of Boynton Beach by instrument recorded in Official
Record Book 239, Page 669, public records of Palm Beach County,
Florida.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 22nd day of March, A. D. 1966.
