R66-MRESOLUTION NO. 66-
WHEREAS, the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA is vitally
interested in the development and improvement of the South Lake Worth Inlet,
commonly known as the Boynton Inlet, and
WHEREAS the South Lake Worth Inlet District has embarked upon an
expansion and improvement project relative said facility, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable that in connection with said project
the 40-year old bridge presently spanning the Inlet be replaced by a modern
bri dge;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, that the State Road Department of the State
of Florida is respectfully urged to thoroughly investigate the above proposal
and, if possible, to initiate steps to replace subject obsolete bridge in order
to allow for the full development and improvement of said Inlet facility.
