R66-BRESOLUTION No. 66-B
RESOLUTION No. 63-FF of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH
is hereby amended to read: ~
WHEREAS, the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEAC
FLORIDA, deems it essential that all matters of an inlet-racial nature
affecting any of the citizens of said municipality, be met and handled on an
amicable basis, as has been the cuslom in the past; and
WHEREAS, in order to alleviate any such problems arising in
the future, it is deemed essential that an advisory committee be established
to properly inform the City Council as lo the nature and extent of such pro-
blems and to recommend possible solutionsthereof to lhe City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
1. Thai an inter-racial committee of the CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH~ FLORIDA, is hereby created and established, which committee shall
consist of as many members as the City Council may from lime to time, in
its discretion, deem necessary to accomplish the above cited purposes, wilh
said appointed committee members to serve at the pleasure of the City Counci
As soon as possible after appointing said commitlee the committee shall meet
organize and elect one of their members chairman and another of their
members as secretary to serve for such lerms as the committee shall
determine.
2. Said inter-racial committee shall meet at the call of the
Chairman, or any three members thereof to consider any problems confrontin~
the municipalily regarding racial matters and the committee may make forma~
recommendations to the City Council, after thorough consideration of any
such problems.
