AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES BY CREATING A NEW
SECTION 2-17, PROVIDING THAT MATTERS
PRESENTED TO A CITY ADVISORY BOARD OR
COMMITTEE BE BROUGHT TO THE CITY
COMMISSION FOR REVIEW AND FINAL
DISPOSITION; PROVIDING FOR A CONFLICTS
CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; PROVIDING AUTHORITY TO CODIFY;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton
leach, Florida, has heretofore and may hereafter create
advisory boards and committees to receive and review
applications, gather information, make recommendations and
advise the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that all matters
coming before an advisory board or committee of the City
should be brought to the City Commission for review and
final disposition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The "WHEREAS" clauses are
ratified and confirmed as being true and correct.

Section 2. That Article I of Chapter 2
of Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach,
hereby created to read as follows:

(a) Any application or matter
presented to an advisory board or
committee of the City shall be brought
to the City Commission for review and
final disposition unless withdrawn
voluntarily by the applicant.

The provisions of this Section
intended to supersede any
provisions in conflict
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
!in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or portion hereof, any paragraph, sentence, or
word be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the remainder of
this ordinance.
