We then went into matter of c~::st ans. a~reed that you had probably s oent e than ~2,0~.~%.0D on this street 435 I went to the Town Commissioners with the proposition that your stretch be inCluded with the balance of Pa~etto and .that you be assessed the same rate and then that you be rebated ~2,000.O0. This will reduce your assessment by practically fifty percent cna i believe that it surely is a good propostion. You will have nothing to pay for about a year and the cost of course is a lien against the lots and by that time you may have sold the lots, and there will be ten years to pay the cost. It it is agreeable with you thet the Town proceed with the improvement of this stretch, they will have their Attorney, Nr. Finch, draw uo a legal document in which you will waive any ob'e~tion to ~he assessment and ~mdng p~oviding that the Town rebate will include the agree- you $2,000.00 on this ~assessment. If this is agreeable to you please sign this ~letter so that the paving company can Pr. oceed at once, he- ,cause it is urgent that this work be mens in the very near future. The attorney can prepare the papers later on.
