64-ORESOLUTION No. 64-0 to pass oral and and WHEREAS, the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH FLORIDA, did on August 5, 1963, by the enactment of Resolution No. 63-KK effect a certain amendment to the Civil Service Rules and Regulations of said City, with particular application to the second sentence of Paragraph 2, Section 5, Article III thereof, pertaining to the selection and promotion of employees and filling vacancies; and WHEREAS, said amendment as enacted provided that in additi, to oral interviews conducted by the City Manager, candidates shall be requirei written examinations prepared by the Personnel Officer; WHEREAS, the intent of subject amendment was to provide the additional requirement should consist of oral or written examinations prepared by the Personnel Officer; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: 1. That paragraph 1 of Resolution No. 63-KK, is hereby corrected and amended to read as follows: "1. That the amendment to the existing City of Boynton Beach Civil Service Rules and Regulations, adopted July 16, 1962, as amended, heretofore proposed and submitted by the Personnel Officer and approved by the City Manager, and more particularly set forth hereinafter is hereby adopted, ratified and approved, subject amendment being as follows: The second sentence of Paragraph 2 of Section 5, Article III of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH 2. That in all other respects subject Resolution No. 63-KK and the Civil Services Rules and Regulations of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEA~ as amended, are hereby ratified and confirmed. 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately and all actions heretofore taken by the Personnel Officer pursuant to the procedures hereinabove set forth are hereby ratified and confirmed.
