64-IRESOLUTION NO. 64-I
WHEREAS~ vacancies presently exist in certain appointive
offices of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH~ FLORIDA; and
WHEREAS~ the City Council deems it necessary to fill
said vacancies by appointment~
NOW~ THEREFORE~ be it resolved by the City Council of
the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH~ FLORIDA.
1. That FRANCIS T. KAIN~ is hereby appointed to the
non-classified position of City ManaEer of the CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH~ FLORIDA~ pursuant to the provisions of Sections 2-21
throuEh 2-27 inclusive of the Codified Ordinances of the City of
Boynton Beach~ Florida~ pertaininE to the appointment and duties
of said officer~ said appointment to become effective at 8:00
A.M. March 2~ 1964. The salary for said officer is hereby fixed
bi-weekly
at $11~000.00 per year~ payable ~%~%~t~Xy~ with an expense
account of $750.00 per annum~ to be disbursed upon vouchers
approved by the City Council. In addition the City shall furnish
a vehicle to the City Manager and provide Easoline~ oil and
maintenance for said vehicle durinE said individual's tenure of
office. ~aid ~ANCIS T. KAIN is hereby further authorized to
countersiEn all checks~ vouchers and withdrawal slips on any
authorized depository of the City as well as execute and approve
requisitions for withdrawals from the Water and Sewer Constructio~
Trust Fund Account with the Atlantic National Bank of West Palm
Beach~ Florida.
2. That CURTIS EUGENE WRIGHT is hereby appointed to the
position of Chief of the Fire Department of the CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH~ FLORIDA~ effective February 17~ 1964. The salary for
said office is hereby established at $6~000.00 per year~ payable
at the reEular times established by the Finance Department of
the City~ for payment of salary to other municipal employees.
In addition~ the said CURTIS EUGENE WRIGHT is hereby appointed
Civil Defense Director for the City of Boynton Beach~ Florida~
pursuant to the provisions of Section 252.09 of the Florida
Statutes.
3. That JOHN C. WILLIAMS~ is hereby appointed Municipal
Judge ad Litem to serve in the absence~ incapacity~ or other
inability of MARTIN R. DURKIN~ to serve in his appointed capacity
as Municipal Judge. The salary of said office shall be identical
to that of the Municipal JudEe as established in current budget
and shall be payable on a pro rata basis for the actual periods
of time that said officer is fulfillin~ the duties of the office
of Municipal Judge.
4. That the salary of Director of Public Works~
ZELL TAYLOR~ is hereby increased by $75.00 per month and the
salary of Publicity and Personnel Directory ANN HILLIARD~ is
hereby increased by $25.00 per week~ all payable as regular
salary is paid.
