A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
RELATING TO AWARD OF BIDS ON SEWAGE WORKS PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, has
heretofore, in accordance with law, advertised for competitive sealed bids
on a certain sewage works project, with said bids to be opened on March 4,
1963, at 8:00 o'clock P. M.; and
WHEREAS said bids were received, opened and read at the
regular Council Meeting of said City Council on the above stated date; and
WHEREAS, the City Council and its Consulting Engineers,
RUSSELL & AXON, have tabulated all bids and ascertained that the Iow bid
received on each Section of subject sewage work project, to be let at this time
are as follows:
SECTIONS 1 and 2: BUMBY & STIMPSON, INC.,
525 Hames Si., Orlando, Florida - $685,122.30,
Total bid including deductions.
SECTION 4: RONLEE, INC., Miami Springs, Florida,
$598,162.24 - base bid,
thai all of the above bids were in all respects in conformity with the require-
ments set forth in the invitation for bids.
NOW, THEREFORE be it resolved, by the City Council of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, a quorum being present and partici-
pating in special session:
1. That the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, and ils ~onsulting Engineers, RUSSELL & AXON, have examined
the qualifications of BUMBY & STIMPSON, INC. and RONLEE, INC., and
have found them to be reputable and reliable firms.
2. Thai the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, hereby
tentatively awards the bids on the respective Sections of the above municipal
sewage works project as more particularly set forth in the plans and specifica-
tions therefor prepared by RUSSELL & AXON, Consulting Engineers, as
follows:
SECTIONS 1 and 2: BUMBY & STIMPSON, INC.,
525 Hames St., Orlando, Florida, - $685,122.30 -
Total bid including deductions.
SECTION 4: RONLEE, INC., Miami Springs, Florida,
$598,162.24 - base bid.
5. That the awards of the above bids are and shall be subject
to the approval of the Florida State Board of Health and the United States
Public Health Service.
The Resolution Passed and Adopted in special session this
llth day of March, A. D. 1963.
