WHEREAS, the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH
FLORIDA, has heretofore recognized the necessity of adopting a major
municipal sewerage expansion program for the City of Boynton Beach ,
Florida; and
WHEREAS, in connection wilh the implementation of said
program the City has requested its Engineers and Fiscal Agent to make
specific recommendations as to the scope of such program and as to
the most feasible plan for financing the same~ and
WHEREAS, the City's Engineers and Fiscal Agent have com-
pleted their research and have submitted final recommendations to
the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of
lhe CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
1. Thai the final recommendations of the City's Engineers,
RUSSELL & AXON, dated January, 1962, which plan was presented to the
City Council at a special meeting held on January 8, 1962, are hereby
adopted as the most feasible plan for the present sewering of the City
of Boynton Beach, and said Engineers are hereby authorized to proceed
with the preparation of final construction plans, working drawings and
specifications in accordance with the said recommendations and to submit
same to the City Council for final approval at the earliest possible date.
Payment for the preparation of said plans and specifications shall be
subject to the successful validation and sale of the revenue bonds to be
issued to finance said probject by the City.
2. Recommendations of the Cityts Fiscal Agent, F. S.
SMITHERS & CO. of NEW YORK CITY, dated January 8, 1962, proposing
a total bond 'issue of $3,400, 000.00 to finance the able ~roject are hereby
accepted and approved.
3. Thai the City Administrator, City Attorney, Fiscal Agent
and Bond Counsel of the CITY OF BOYNTO N BEACH, FLORIDA, are
hereby authorized and directed to proceed with the preparation of all
necessary papers and documents preparatory to the validalion and issuance
of revenue bonds of the City to finance the above project in accordance
with the aforesaid recommendations.
