62-A RESOLUTION
NO. 62-A
WHEREAS, Section 23 of the Charter of the CITY OF
BEACH, FLORIDA, empowers the City Council to create such offices as may,
in its judgment, be necessary for the government of said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it essential to create a
certain office within its public services section to enable said function of the
municipal government to operate more efficiently,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
1. That there is hereby created in the unclassified service of
the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, the office -of Supervisor of the
Municipal Water Works. The duties of said office shall include the control
and direct supervision of the water plant, water distribution system, meter
readers, and other subordinate personnel employed in the municipal water
department; to recommend appointment or removal of all subordinate emplo
in the municipal water department; to recommend to the City Council for adopti
such measures as may seem necessary or expedient to the operation of the
municipal water department; to perform such other duties as the City Council
may from time to time require.
2. The annual salary for said office is hereby set at $5, 200.00,
said amount being payable in bi-weekly installments as other Cily employees
are paid, commencing with the initial payroll date of February 9, 1962.
3. Be it further RESOLVED that THOMAS A. GRAHAM is
hereby appointed to the office of Supervisor of the Municipal Water Works,
with pay retroactive to January 23, 1962.
