62-MMRESOLUTION NO. 62-MM
WHEREAS, the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH° FLORIDA, has
heretofore undertaken a major municipal sewerage expansion project; and
WHEREAS, upon recommendation of RUSSELL & AXON, the
City's Consulting Engineers, the City Council deems it advisable that the
City make application for certain available Federal Funds to assist in the
construction of municipal sewerage disposal facilities,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA-
1. That application for a grant of Federal Funds pursuant
to the~ terms and provisions of Public Law 660, 1956, citeil
33 U. S. C. 466 to aid in financing the Sewage Disposal
Facilities be duly prepared, executed, and filed with the
proper authorities as soon as possible.
2. That Mayor, J. W. Pipes, is hereby authorized and
empowered to prepare or have prepared Form P. II. S. 2654
of the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, Public
Service titled, "Application for Federal Grant for Sewage
Treatment Works" under 33 U. S. C. et seq. The Mayor is
hereby authorized and directed to execute said Form P. H. S.
2654 when it has been duly prepared. When said form has
been duly prepared and executed as prescribed above, the
Mayor shall transmit the form to the Florida State Board of
Health for review and transmittal to the United States Public
Health Service.
