WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the flow of commerce and trade
between the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH and THE TOWN OF LANTANA0
FLORIDA, it is deemed necessary to establish a reciprocal licensing agree-
ment with said Town relative the building, electrical and plumbing trades;
and
WHEREAS, the city building, plumbing and electrical inspectors
have heretofore ascertained that the said Town of Lantana has previously
enacted building, plumbing and electrical codes, equal in quality to the
respective building, plumbing and elect rical codes of the City of Boynton
Beach, thus insuring that all persons issued licenses under said codes, by
having passed the examinations provided for thereunder, possess the requisit~
competency qualifications to be issued similar licenses by the said CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, without further examinations,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
1. That when the TOWN OF LANTANA officially adopts a practice
or. procedure of recognizing on a reciprocal basis, and issuing licenses to
individuals licensed under the building, plumbing and electrical codes of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, without the necessity of passing qualifying
examinations, then and in such event the building, plumbing and electrical
inspectors of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, shall be and they are hereby
authorized to approve the issuance of licenses within their respective depart-
ments, without examination, to applican~swho have previously passed an
examination and been issued a building, plumbing or electrical Contractor's
license by the said TOWN OF LANTANA. In the event the said TOWN OF
LANTANA initiates a reciprocal agreement practice with the CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, as contemplated herein, and subsequently terminates
such procedure, the practice of reciprocating with said municipality shall be

automatically terminaled. Applicants applying for licenses from lhe CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH on the basis of the above reciprocal agreement procedt
shall be exempted only from the examination requiremenls of the city building,
plumbing and electrical codes and shall in all other respects comply si
with the licensing requirements thereof.
