62-HHHRESOLUTION No. 62-HHH WHEREAS, that portion of Seacrest Boulevard lying ~souih of the Boynton Canal and North of the South City limits of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, constitutes one of the main arterial highways of north-south ~ffic through said municipality; and WHEREAS, said segment of subject highway constitutes a County road with the duty of maintaining same resting with the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida; and WHEREAS, said segment of subject highway now consists of two traffic lanes and is totally inadequate to handle the burden of ~-ehicular thereon and, in addition, is presently in dire need of maintenance and )air at many points, including solution of several serious existing drainage >roblems, all of said factors constituting a threat to the health, safety and are of the citizens of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and other person. g said highway; and WHEREAS, it is the considered opinion of the City Council )f the City of Boynton Beach, that the justification for the repair, maintenance ~nd widening of subject highway now exists; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the Dity of Boynton Beach, Florida: That the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida, is hereby respectfully requested, at the earliest possible date, to effect the necessary maintenance and repairs to the above described portion of Seacrest Boulevard, within the city limits of the said City in order to render same safe and usable, and further, to institute the necessary steps for the constuction and widening of said thoroughfare as a four lane arterial highway.
