62-FFFRESOLUTION NO. 62-FFF
WHEREAS, J. WILLARD PIPES, as Mayor of the CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, did on August 6, 1962, resign said office;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, did on August 20, 1962, duly elect THOMAS A. SUMMERS and
WALTER A. MADSEN, as Mayor and Vice Mayor respectively of said
municipality; and
WHEREAS, in connection with the processing of the banking
business of said municipality it is necessary that the above two newly
designated officers be authorized by resolution to transact said functions;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA.
1. Thai THOMAS A. SUMMERS, as Mayor, and WALTER A.
MADSEN, as Vice Mayor, of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
are hereby authorized to execute all checks, drafts, vouchers, withdrawal
slips or other documents necessary to the transaction of the Municipality's
financial business, with any financial institution with which the CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, shall transact business, including, but not
limited to, the FIRST BANK OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA; THE FIRST
FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION OF LAKE WORTH, FLORIDA:
THE FIRST FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION OF DELRAY
BEACH, FLORIDA. THE FIRST FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION
OF WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: and the WEST PALM BEACH FEDERAL.
SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION.
2. That pursuant lo the provisions of Chapter 175 and Chapter
185 of the Florida Statutes, Mayor THOMAS A. SUMMERS, is hereby
designated as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of lhe Municipal Firemen's
Pension Trust Fund and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Municipal
Police Officers' Retirement Trust Fund, respectively, and he' is hereby
authorized to execute checks, drafts, vouchers, withdrawal slips, or other
instruments and to perform all other duties in his capacity as Chairman of
said Fur~ds as more particularly set forth in subject legislation.
3. That the authority of J, WILLARD PIPES, as former Mayor
of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, to execute checks, drafts,
vouchers, withdrawal slips and other instruments on behalf of the CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, is hereby withdrawn and cancelled.
