11-21-60ARESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEAC~ FLORIDA, pursuant to Section 160 of the Charter of said City, deems it necessary for the public interest that the public alley of said City, more Particularly described hereinafter, be improved by being built, repaired, re- surfaced, and/or rebuilt; and WHEREAS, the City Council of said City has heretOfore by Resolution according to law required the Superintendent of Public Works to prepare an ~ estimated cost of such improvements and to prepare plans and specifications covering the construction of same; and WHEREAS, the said Superintendent of Public Works has com- pleted such requirements, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLV-ED by the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, as follows: 1. That the following public alley hereinafter described shall be constructed and/or rebuilt in accordance with plans and specifications as required by ~he laws of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and now on file in the office of the Superintendent of Public Works, said alley being more particularly describe d as follows: ,Description~: That certain Ten (10) foot alley lying between Northeast 3rd Street and Railroad Avenue, and abutting lots 1 through 6 inclusive, and lots 14 and 15, of ARDEN PARK, a sub- division of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida. M. at the Boynton Beach City Hall, Boynton Beach, Florida. 3. Each abutting property owner along the above proposed improvement shall be assessed on a front footage basis, charging said owner his proportionate share as divided by the total improvement cost above estimated. The property owner shall have the privilege of paying the entire assessment at any time within ~ o days from the date of attachment ~f said improvement lien, and failing to do so there shall be assessed against said property owner as a lien against his property, for three consecutive years, a special assessment tax divided into three equal installments, payabl as other ad valorem t~x~s are paid, with interest at the rate of 8% per annum on the unpaid balance. 4. The Clerk shall prepare an assessment roll showing the number of feet of each lot or parcel of land fronting or abutting upon the improvements and the amount of assessments as to each, and each lot shall be proportiona~r.so assessed.
