TO THE HONORABLE COUNTY OOMMISSION OF PAI~{ BEACH GOUNTY, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, all resideats, taxpayers and registere~ voters of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BE~CH, ~.~RIDA, and the i~aediate surr~una~-8 are% are
vitally interested in the continuing improvement of the metwork of
h/~hways and roads serving said area; and
~{~EAS, such interest is based upon the necessity of attracting
large mmabers of t~urists and other forms of traffic to subject area to
maintain and enhance the economic welfare of its residents; and
~, a certain regional road improvement program relative
subject area is presently being considered, and/or implemented, by the
widening and re-surfacing of Ocean Avenue frol the Intracoastal Canal t~
U.S. Highway #1; and
WHEREAS, it is felt by the residents of subject area that any
unnecessary delay at this time will result in the loss of funds which are
presently appropriated for the accomplishment of the above purposes thereby
postpon/ag said program for an indefinite period; and
WHEREAS, it is felt that it is pertinent that the necessary right-
of-way has previously been obtained across and over the area designated
for the above improvement and no funds will be required for said purpose; and
~L__~FAS, it is deemed essential that all efforts be exerted by the
residents of the affected area to bring to the attention of the govern-
mental officers involved, the keen interest and the desire that the above
cited program be implemented and completed as expeditiously as possible;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GIT/ COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
~hat it is the imtent and desire ef the people ef the CITY OF
BOY, TON BEACH, FLORIDA, that the road improvement program referred to
hereinabove be accomplished as ~peditiously as possible without delay,
and that all elected and appoimted governmental officers connected with
said program are respectfully requested and mrged to exert every effert
reward the accomplishment of same
