WHEREAS the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, is aboul
to embark upon a project of constructing a Municipal swimming pool
within the Muncipal limits of said City; and
WHEREAS the construction of said swimming pool is
to be financed through the sale of general obligation bonds of
said City; and
WHEREAS it is deemed necessary and essential in
connection with the issuance and sale of said general obligation
bonds that the City retain the expert services of a qualified
fiscal agent to assist the City in said undertaking; and
WHEREAS the firm of~SMITHERS & CON~PANY, New York
City, New York, has previously submitted a proposal to serve the
City in said capacity;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council
of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the CITY OF BOYNTON ~ACH, FLORIDA, hereby
retains the firm ofASMITHERS & COMPANY of New York City, New York
as fiscal agent in connection with the issuance and sale of
general obligation bonds covering the construction of a certain
Municipal swimming pool previously approved by the voters of said
Municipality in a referendum election, all in accordance with the
proposal of said firm attached hereto and hereby made a part
hereof, and the Mayor of the CITY OF BOYNTON ~EACH, FLOR1DA, is
hereby authorized to execute the acceptance of said proposal on
behalf of the City.
