WHEREAS, the members of the City Council of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, have noted with growing concern
the gradual elimination of the various means of public access to
the ocean beaches in our County, and
WHEREA~, the said City Council recognizes that such
elimination of public means of access to our ocean beaches will-
greatly impair and injure the attractiveness of our City and
County as a tourist resort area and will, therefore, adversely
effect the econominc status of the citizens of our City and the
County of Palm ~each, Florida, as a whole, now therefore be it
resolved by the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON lEACH, FLOR.
as follows:
That the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, hereby goes on record as favoring the maintenance and
preservation of all existing public access rights to the ocean
beaches located within the territorial limits of the County of
Palm Beach, Florida, and, if possible, the acquisition of addi-
tional access ways to said beaches, and further that copies of
this resolution be furnished to all elected officials on the
County and State level representing Palm Beach County, Florida,
in any way connected with this problem.
