WHEREAS, due to th= present complexity and size of
the municipal insurance program of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, the City Council of said municipality deems it necessary,
expedient and advisable to provide for and obtain independent
assistance and advice in connection with the implementation and
maintenance of the said municipality's insurance program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, as follows:
1. That there is hereby created a Municipal Insurance
Advisory Board of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, for the
purpose of reviewing said municipality's present insurance program
making recommendations to the City Council as to the advisability
of maintaining, increasing, decreasing, or altering said municipal.

recommendations to the City Council as to all future matters per-

2. Said Board shall consist of five members who ahall
be appointpd by the City Council and who shall serve at the will oJ
the Council. In the event resignations or vacancies occur on said
Board, the City Council shall, as expeditiously as possible,
appoint successor members to serve. No salary or other remunera-
tion of any kind shall be paid to ~he members of said Board.
3. The qualifications of the individual members of said
Board shall be as follows:
Two of the members shall be local residents with
previous insurance experience of recognizable
prestige, which m~mbers are no longer active nor
have any financial interest in any local insurance
agency.
One member shall be a local resident who maintains
and operates a local insurance agency.
One member shall be a local building contractor.
On~ member shall be a layman not identified or
connected with any of the above activities.

enumerated, unless specifically ~nlarged or designated by future
resolution of ~his Council.
