WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the flow of commerce and
trade between the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH and certain neighboring cities
lo the south in Palm Beach County, it is deemed necessary to establish re-
ciprocal licensing agreemenls with such cities relative lhe building, electri
and plumbing trades~ and
WHEREAS, the cily building, plumbing and electrical inspectors
have heretofore ascertained that the neighboring cities of Boca Raton and
Delray Beach have previously enacted building, plumbing and electrical
codes, equal in quality lo the respective building, plumbing and electrical
co~es of the City of Boynton Beach, thus insuring that all persons issued
licenses under said codes, by having passed lhe examinations provided for
thereunder, possess the requisite competency qualifications to be issued

NOW, THEREFORE, be ii resolved by lhe City Council of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
1. Thai when each of the municipalities above named officially
adopts a practice or procedure of recognizing on a reciprocal basis, and
issuing licenses lo, individuals licensed under the building, plumbing and
electrical codes of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, withoul the necessity of
passing qualifying examinations, then and in such event the building, plumbin
and electrical inspectors of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, shall be and the~
are hereby authorized to approve the issuance of licenses within their re-
spective departments, without examinalion, to applicanls who have previously
passed an examinalion and been issued a building, plumbing or electrical
Contractor's license by such reciprocal municipalities. In the event lhat any
municipalily ini~ates a reciprocal agreement practice with the CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, as contemplated herein, and subsequently terminates su~
procedure, the practice of reciprocating with said municipality shall be
automatically terminated. Applicants applying for licenses from the CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH on the basis of the above reciprocal agreement pro-
cedure shall be exempted only from the examination requirements of the city
building, plumbing and electrical codes and shall in all other respects comply
specifically with the licensing requirements thereof.
