11-20-61RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the existing United States Post Office facility
located in the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH° FLORIDA, is inadequate to meet
the needs of the residents of said municipality; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City has for many months
last past endeavored to coordinate With the appropriate governmental
officials to achieve the construction of a new Post Office in said muncipality
and in connection therewith has thoroughly investigated many proposed site
locations, including the holding of public hearings relative thereto; and
WHEREAS, the postal authorities have requested a statement
from the City Council relative the result of their investigation,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, that in the opinion of said City
Council as the governing body of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
after thorough investigation into the above stated problem, the majority of the
business men and citizens of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
are in favor of locating the proposed new postal facility in said City at the
Southwest corner of the intersection of Seacrest Boulevard and Northwest
Se cond Avenue.
