10-11-61RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, has
heretofore created the municipal office of City Administrator and has
heretofore filled said office by appointment; and
WHEREAS, said officer constitutes the administrative head
of the municipal government of the city; and
WHEREAS, the city has heretofore adopted certain ordinances,
proposed charter amendments, rules and regulations, and other administra-
tive procedures setting forth various duties of a City Manager; and
WHEREAS, for all intents and purposes the functions, duties
and responsibilities of the City Administrator and a City Manager are one and
the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
That in order to maintain proper continuity of mur~cipal adminis-
trative procedures and to avoid revision of numerous ordinances and
administrative rules and regulations, it is hereby declared that the City
Administrator shall henceforth fulfill and perform all effective administrative
functions, duties and responsibilities previously delegated to the City
Manager by charter, ordinances, administrative rules and regulations and
otherwise.
