06-14-61a RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, title to certain property located within the municipal
limits of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, to-wit: Lots 5, 6 and 8,
Block 5, ROBERT ADDITION to the Town of Boynton, recorded in Plat
Book 1, page 51, public records of Palm Beach County, Florida, was on
May 7, 1945, vested in Palm Beach County, Florida, pursuant to Final
Decree entered in Chancery Case No. 18, 875, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority from Palm Beach County, the
City of Boynton Beach has heretofore constructed its municipal fire station
facilities on subject property, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 194. 55(7) of the Florida Statutes
the Board of County Commissioners is authorized to convey subject property
to the City of Boynton Beach for public purposes without consideration or
public sale, upon request of said City by proper Resolution, and
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach is desirous of obtaining a
conveyance of subject property for the purpose of unifying title to all local
governmental facilities in the municipal body;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
That formal request is hereby made to the Board of County
Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida, for a conveyance to the
City of Boynton Beach, Florida, of Lots 5, 6 and 8, Block 5, ROBERT
ADDITION to the Town of Boynton, pursuant to the authority of Section
194. 55 (7), Florida Statutes, above cited.
