WHEREAS, the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, recognizes the necessity of effecting certain charier amendments
to its municipal charter through the passage of special acts in the 1961
session of the Florida Legislature; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore considered
subject changes and has reviewed a certain form cf special act prepared by
the City Attorney accomplishing said amendments,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council
of the City of Boynton Beach, as follows:
That the proposed legislative act heretofore considered by
the City Council, and more particularly described hereinafter by caption,
is hereby approved and the City Attorney is authorized to transmit same to
the Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation to the 1961 Session of the
Florida Legislature for introduction and passage into law:
A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT RELATING TO THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AMENDING THE LAST UNNUMBERED
PARAGRAPH OF SECTION 14, ARTICLE III, CHAPTER 24398
SPECIAL ACTS OF 1947, AS AMENDED, BEING THE EXISTING
CHARTER OF SAID CITY, DESIGNATING AND SETTING FORTH
THE PWOERS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE OFFICE
OF CITY MANAGER: TO FURTHER ALTER SAID CHARTER BY
AMENDING SECTION 63, ARTICLE IX, THEREOF BY REDE~Ik~ING
THE MUNICIPALITY'S PURCHASING POWERS, PROVIDING FOR A
SAVINGS CLAUSE AND FOR A REFERENDUM VOTE ON THIS ACT.
