AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CHAPTER
14 MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC BY
AMENDING SECTION 14-11. CIVIL
PENALTIES.; PROVIDING FOR AN
IMPLEMENTATION DATE; PROVIDING FOR A
CONFLICTS CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING AUTHORITY
TO CODIFY; AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City is authorized to collect charges or
fees in an amount necessary for the efficient conduct of
municipal government and to offset regulatory activity; and
WHEREAS, the City currently collects fees for civil
penalties; and
WHEREAS, the
charges;
City wishes to amend its civil penalty fee
WHEREAS, the City Administration has conducted a study
to establish a fair and reasonable charge for said increase
of fees.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Effective October 1, 1990, Chapter 14.
Motor Veihcles and Traffic. Section 14-11. Civil Penalties
shall be amended by adding the words and figures in
underlined type and by deleting the words and figues in
struck-through type, as follows:
14.11 Civil penalties.
The following civil penalties shall be
imposed upon the owner of any motor vehicle found
to be stopped, standing or parking in violation of
an ordinance or Florida law as follows:

Section 2. That each and every other provision of
Chapter 14. not specifically herein amended shall remain in
full force and effect as previously enacted.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
