Mayor Moore called the Special Meeting to order at 6:25 P.M.
Commissioner Olenik moved to adopt the Agenda. Vice Mayor
Wische seconded the motion which carried 5-0.
At the Budget Workshop meeting held immediately previous to
this Special meeting, the "not to exceed" millage was set at
8.0019. The first Public Hearing was scheduled for
Wednesday, September 5, 1990 at 6:00 P.M. Following the
Public Hearing on September 5, the regularly scheduled
Commission meeting will take place.
City Attorney Mitchell Kraft read proposed Resolution
90-WWWW by title only:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A PROPOSED MILLAGE RATE
OF 8.0019 FOR GENERAL OPERATING BUDGET PURPOSES FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1990-91 AND SETTING FORTH THE DATE, TIME AND
PLACE OF THE FIRST PUBLIC HEARING; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE."
Vice Mayor Wische moved for the adoption of Resolution
90-WWWW. Commissioner Olenik seconded the motion which
carried 5-0.
The Mayor felt some comments made by Commissioner Weiner
earlier in the evening were out of line and heated remarks
were exchanged.
