A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A
RATE INCREASE FROM $1.35 PER FOOT TO $1.75
PER FOOT FOR THE TELEVISING AND INSPECTION
OF NEW SEWER MAINS, TO MEET CURRENT
OPERATIONAL AND CAPITAL EXPENSES; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The Wastewater Collection Division inspects all new
sewer main construction installed in the City of Boynton Beach, which process
insures quality and proper installation by televising the sewer main through closed
circuit TV; and
WHEREAS, historically the City is averaging 26,000 feet of new sewer
main to the system each year, which cannot be supported by the current rate; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton, upon
recommendation of staff, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and
residents of the City to increase the televising and inspection of new sewer mains
rate from $1.35 per foot to $1,75 per foot to meet current operational and capital
expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Each Whereas clause set forth above is true and correct and
incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida
does hereby approve an increase of the television and inspection of new sewer
mains rate from $1.35 per foot to $1.75 per foot to meet current operation and
capital expenses.
Section 3.
That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
passage.
