10-22-56ARESOLUTION OPPOSING CHAPTER 31132, HOUSE BILL NO. 1612
BE IT RESOLVED BY TH~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA:
That we do hereby strenuously oppose the olacing of
a referendum on November 6th General Election relative
to the law without the Governor's approval and now on the
Florida Statute, Chapter 31132, Acts of 1955, (House Bill
No. 1612).
This law calls for the creating, establishing, and
organizing a Beach Park District in Palm Beach County
and provides for the issuance of $1,000,000.00 obligation
bonds. We feel that the public has not been orooerly
informed on the issue and before being asked to vote on
same, should have the opportunity to thoroughly study and
debate all the provisions of this act, realizing that a
tax levy without limit can be placed on all taxable
prooerty within the incoroorated district.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a cooy of this
Resolution be sent the ~slm Beach County Commission, the
Boynton Beach News, and the Boynton Beach Chamber of
Commerce.
