A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
AND APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH AND JEG ASSOCIATES FOR THE
CONTINUATION OF CONSULTING SERVICES TO THE
HEART OF BOYNTON PROJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon recommendation of staff, has deemed it to
be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Boynton Beach to enter into
an Agreement between the City of Boynton Beach and JEG Associates to continue consulting
services to the Heart of Boynton Project;
WHEREAS, the scope of services for this new agreement encompasses providing an
updated status report for the Heart of Boynton Redevelopment Plan, assisting the City in the
coordination and implementation of community outreach activities related to the plan; and to
conduct additional planning and design work for specific projects related to neighborhood
improvement activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and
correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption hereof.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida does
hereby authorize and approve an Agreement between the City of Boynton Beach and JEG
Associates, providing for the continuation of consulting services for the Heart of Boynton
Project, a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
Section 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said

Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.

Attachment "A"
The Client desires to contract with JEG to provide consulting sen/ices related to the
implementation of the Heart of Boynton plan. Sewices will be provided, consis:ent
with the following Scope of Sewices and payment schedule upon execution of this
agreement.
SCOPE OF ADDITIONAL SERVICES
The Scope of Services generally to be provided by JEG may include, but will no! be
limited to any of the following:
Task 1 '
Task 2 -
Provide consullative technical assistance to the City, relative to the
development of implementation strategies related to the HOB plan.
Assist the City in Ihe coordination and irnplementation of commuqity
outreach activities designed to increase community awareness of the
HOB plan and mla~d redevelopment activities.
Task 3 -
Assist the City in the development of collaborative partnerships with
public and pdvate community stakeholdem and po~ntial resource
par'mem.
Task 4 -
Conduct additional planning and design work to include cost estimales,
color schemes, etc.
COST PROPOSAL
The City will pay JEG for services engaged directly on 'the project at a rate of $125.
per hour, not to exceed a maximum of $7,000. The contract shall commence up3n
execution of this agreement.
