A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING FUNDING FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 2 MILLION GALLON
REUSE WATER STORAGE TANK AT THE SOUTH
CENTRAL REGIONAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT
AND DIPOSAL FACILITY IN THE AMOUNT OF
$600,000 TO BE DIVIDED EQUALLY BETWEEN THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AND THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, on April 17th, 2003, the South Central Regional Wastewater Treatment
~osal Board (SCRWTDB) authorized the funding for the reclaimed storage tank; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to construct additional storage facilities on site at the
)lant as part of the next phase of expanding the Regional Plant's ability to expand
storage, and delivery of reuse water to the Cities of Boynton Beach and Delray
and
WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, it is deemed appropriate by the City
of the City of Boynton Beach to approve funding for the construction of a 2
gallon reuse water storage tank at the South Central Regional Wastewater Treatment
Disposal facilities in the amount of $600,000 to be divided equally between the City of
Boynton Beach and the City of Delray Beach, in the amount of $300,000 each. These funds
will be used as a match for the $300,00 South Florida Water Management District 2002/03
Alternate Water Supply Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
hereof.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does
approve funding for the construction of a 2 million gallon reuse water storage tank at the
South Central Regional Wastewater Treatment and Disposal facilities in the amount of
$600,000 to be divided equally between the City of Boynton Beach and the City of Delray
Beach, in the amount of $300,000 each.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
