06/03/55A RESOLUTI3N OF THE CiTY COUNCIL OF ?~ CITY 0F ~,OY~fTON BE;~'CH RE- QUESTING PERMISSIOY ZO BUILD A SERVICE R0tD ?JITHIY T~ '~Y'ST BO~- ARY 0F R~GHT OF W~ OF STATE ROAD 9. -~REAS, there are several varcels of land~ located between the oro~os2d Right-of-way of State Road No. 9 and the Seaboard Airline Railroad in Section 21~ Township k% South~ Range 43 East which do not have access to Boynton West Road and W~REAS, there is an urgent need for a service road to oven u~ this ~ro~erty for commercial use, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the CitM Council of the City of Boynton Beach to petition the Board of County Commissioners for their assistance to the owners of said land in U. rocuring from the State Road Department permission to coostruct a service road inside the west right-of-way limit of State Road No. 9 from ~orthwest Second Avenue northward some 3~200 feet to the end of the lsat isolated ~arcel on the north. BE IT FURTHER EESOL~D~ that such service road be built according to City svecific@tions~ in sections, as necessary to enable the use of the isolated ~arcels of lamd when such use is required. Service road to be built with the understanding that when the State Ro~d Department is ready to construct State Road No. 9 the service road, if not acceptable to the State Road De~art- ment~ can be destroyed. All new streets shall be a minimum of 22 feet in width of ~aved surface and the raved ~ortion of the said streets shall comtsim a minimum of 6" of compacted local lime rock ~ro~erly water bound and finished and treated with a standard slag surfscing~ or other comvarable wear resisting material. There shall be a~plied two (2) coats of oil ~rior to av~lication of siag~ or finished surfacing. t~here streets are to be subjected to heavy traffic~ City Inspector may in his discretion require 8" of c~mvscted rock to be ~laced and rolled i~ both ~nstances with a roller of minimum ~ t~ns~ an~. maximum of 10 tons. Concrete roads and ot~er Class A ~svement shall be built u~on good engineering ~rinci~sls, may be substituted in lieu of the above mentioned rock roads according to av~roval ~f City inspector. SECTION [. The gradin~ of all roadways shall be s~proved in location and cut by City Inspector prior to commencement of any sur- facing or road-bed materials so that the drain and elevation of the roads shall be according to a~vroved engineering smecifications. The finished road shall have a crown of not less than ~".
