the Citizentry desires to beautify the
highway through the City of Boynton Beach~
at the seme time it is widened~ and
WHEREAS~ such widening with parkway in center
would enable obtaining maximum federal
financial aid~ and give the City needed
additional parking facilities for busines-
ses along the highway
NOW THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED~ that the City of
Boynton Beach~ Florida~ hereby requests
that the County Commission of Palm Beach
County acquire one hundred sixteen feet
(116') right of way for the U.S. Highway
# 1 through the entire length of our City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED~ that when the road is
widened~ a Parkway be built in the center
with cut in left turns at intersections.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Boynton Besch~ Florida sitting in
regular session this 20th day of Seotember~
