a RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, MAINTAINING
TEN PERCENT (10O/o) OF THE GENERAL FUND TO BE
HELD IN AN UNDESIGNATED ACCOUNT AVAILABLE
ONLY IN CASES OF CITY EMERGENCY; CONFLICTING
RESOLUTIONS REPEALED; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission is committed to following a course of fiscal
responsibility and good stewardship of the public monies; and
WHEREAS, it is fiscally responsible to hold a percentage of the general funds
in an undesignated account, available only in the event that a City emergency
should arise; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that ten percent (10%) is
an appropriate amount to hold in an undesignated account.
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE ]:T RESOLVED BY THE CIT~ COMM:~SS]:ON OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORI'DA THAT:

Section 2.
It is intent of the City Commission to release these funds only
upon a finding of an emergency, such emergency to be considered on a case by
case basis. Emergencies shall be defined to be extraordinary and outside the realm
of normal operations. These monies shall not be used for recurring expenditures.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
passage.
