A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING WILFRED
HAWKINS AS INTERIM CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ADDRESSING
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE,
WHEREAS, WILFRED HAWKINS is currently the Manager of Support Services
of the City of Boynton Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to appoint WILFRED HAWKINS as
Interim City Manager to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of the City
Manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COI~IHISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida does
hereby appoint WILFRED HAWKINS Interim City Manager. The appointment shall
be in effect until rescinded by the City Commission, the appointment of a City
Manager, or until thirty (30) days following notice by WILFRED HAWKINS that he no
longer desires the appointment, whichever occurs first.
Section 2.
and benefits:
WILFRED HAWKINS shall receive the following compensation
A. Base salary shall be at the rate of $37.50 per hour which
converts to $78,000 annually.
Section 3 Upon the expiration of his appointment as Interim City Manager,
WILFRED HAWKINS shall resume his responsibilities as Manager of Support Services
and shall continue to enjoy all of the rights and privileges formerly set out in his
existing Appointment Contract. In addition, upon the expiration of his appointment
as Interim City Manager, Mr. Hawkins' base salary compensation shall be set at
$34.13 per hour, which converts to $71,000 annually.
Section 6. The effective date of this Resolution shall be February 16, 1999,
the date of appointment of Wilfred Hawkins as Interim City Manager.
