Payment of indebtednessesA RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN C0~ISSION OF THE TOWN OF BOYNTON, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK OF SAID TOWN TO ISSUE NOTES IN PAYMENT OF CERTAIN I NDEBT EDNE S SEa. WHEREAS the Town of Boynton, Palm Beach County, Florida, is indebted to its attorney, Newman T. Miller, in the sum of $1,949.50 for services rendered as such attorney in the validation of Refunding Bond Issue in the sum of $389,900.0Q and WHEREAS THE said Town is indebted to the said Niller for services in the representation of said Town in the suit of Divine -vs- Town of Boynton, being Col?mnon Law #7568, and WHEREAS said Tow~ is indebted to said Miller for services rendered in the foreclosure of certain tax sale certificates, delinquent taxes, and assessments, and WHEREAS said amount now due and owing on said foreclosure, in addition to the payment heretofore ma~e, is in the sum of $3,500.00, but that the payment heretofore made plus the sum of $3,500.00 is not the full and complete fee allowed under the statute for this service when completed, and is not the full amount intended to be charged, and WHEREAS the sum of money due and owing as of this date by said Tom~ to said Miller for services rendered is an amount equal to $5,599.50, and WHEREAS the Town is without available cash with which to pay said fees or any material part thereof, and WHEREAS §Aid Miller is willing to take promissory notes sigu~ed by the Tow~ of Boynto~, by its Mayor,~ attested by its Clerk, wi~h the Towa~'s seal affixed toeach of said notes, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the ~ayor of said H. D. Stevens, s~d the Clerk of said Town, J. p. Bowen, be and they are each hereby authorized, for ~d on behalf of said Town, to make, ex~cute, and deliver to said Newman T. Miller, fourteen (14) promissory notes; nine (9) ofsaid notes to be in the principal sum of Five Hu~xired Dollars (500.00)~ two (2) of said notes to be in the principal sum of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00); one(l) of said notes to be in the principal sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00);~ one ofsaid notes to be in the principal suzn of ~e Hundred Forty Nine and 50/100 Dollars ($149.50)~ and one of said notes to be in the principal sum of ~e Hhundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00), making a total of Five Thousand Five Hundred Ninety N1ue and 50/100 Dollars ($5,599.50)~ each of said notes to be dated September 5th, A. D. 1934, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said notes and each of them shall draw interest at the rate of six (6) per cent, per a~n-~um from the date thereof until fully paid, interest payable semi-a~o~ua lly. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Mayor s~ld the said Clerk of said Tow~, as well as their successors in office, shall be and they are each hereby authorized, empowered, and instructed to renew any one or more of said notes from time to time, if not paid when due. iNTRODUCED, read, and passed at a special meeting this the ~ day of September, A.
