AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ARTICLE 11. EMPLOYEES' PENSION
PLAN. DIVISION 1. GENERALLY., OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, BY AMENDING SEC.
18-55. DEFINITIONS; PROVIDING THAT EACH
AND EVERY OTHER PROVISION OF ARTICLE II.
EMPLOYEES' PENSION PLAN. DIVISION 1.
GENERALLY., NOT SPECIFICALLY AMENDED
HEREIN SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND
EFFECT AS PREVIOUSLY ENACTED; PROVIDING
A CONFLICTS CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING AUTHORITY
TO CODIFY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, finds it is in the best interest of the
employees who are subject to the pension plan and consistent
with sound accounting procedures;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY ~ CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Article II. Division 1. Generally,
Sec. 18-55. Definitions. is hereby amended by changing the
definition of the following phrase "Plan year." by adding
the words and figures in underlined type and by deleting the
words and figures in struck-through type as follows:
Sec. 18-55. Definitions.
Plan year. A period of twelve (12) consecutive months
measured on the basis of the ea~e~a~ fiscal year, or
from any anniversary thereof. The fiscal year will
commence October 1 of each year and end September 30 of
each year.
SeCtion 2. Each and every other provision of
ArticleII. Division 1. Generally, not specifically amended

herei~ shall .remain in full force and effect as previously
enacted.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby
repealed.
Section 4: Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or portion hereof, any paragraph, sentence, or
word be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the remainder of
this ordinance.
