AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 2. ADMINISTRATION. OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, SECTION 2-13.5
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT ADVISORY BOARD
FOR THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT;
CREATED, APPOINTMENT, TERMS, DUTIES, TO
PROVIDE FOR MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR
APPOINTMENT, MEMBERSHIP; PROVIDING THAT
EACH AND EVERY OTHER SECTION OF CHAPTER
2 NOT HEREIN SPECIFICALLY AMENDED SHALL
REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY,
CODIFICATION AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton
~each, Florida, deems it to be in the best interests of the
:itizens and residents of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida
set forth certain criteria for minimum qualifications for
~ppointment, membership to the Community Redevelopment
Board for the Central Business District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT'ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. That Chapter 2. Administration, Section
~=13.5 is hereby amended by adding the'words and figures in
lnderlined type and by deleting the words and figures in
through type as follows:
Sec. 2-13.5. Community redevelopment
advisory board for the central business
district; created, appointment, terms,
duties.
(a) There is hereby created a
five-member community redevelopment
advisory board for the central business
district (CRAB-CBD) to provide
recommendations to the community
redevelopment agency for matters
relating to the central business
district. In selecting individuals to
serve on said board, preference shall b~
~iven to individuals who are resident~
of the City of Boynton Beach, provide~
however~ that non-residents who own
~nd/or operate businesses located within
the city may also qualify for
appointment provided they possess
qualifications or experience uniquely
suited to deal with the subject ~attev
over which the board has subject m,tter
review or power.
SeCtion 2. That each and every other provision in
hapter 2 not herein specifically amended shall remain in
~ull force and effect.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
n conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Should any section or provision of this
.rdinance or portion hereof· any paragraph, sentence, or
be declared by a court of competent 3urisdiction to be
~nvalid, such decision shall not affect the remainder of
~his ordinance.
