A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING MODIFICATION OF THE LAND
DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS TO ALLOW FOR A
BLANKET VARIANCE TO RELIEVE HUNTERS RUN
OF THE NECESSITY OF SEEKING INDIVIDUAL
VARIANCES TO ADJUST REAR YARD SETBACKS
NECESSITATED BY GOLF COURSE
IMPROVEMENTS; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach has received a request from
Hunter's Run Golf & Racquet Club to review an issue arising from the ongoing
renovation of their golf course, as it relates to rear yard setback requirements;
and
WHEREAS, section 2 of Article X in Chapter.1 of the Land Development
Regulations reserves the right to the City Commission the power to modify
requirements of the Land' Development Regulations in "the case of a plan and
program for a complete community", which provision requires a review that
culminates in a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interests of
the citizens and residents of the City o! Boynton Beach to m~)dify said Land
Development Regulations to allow Hunter s Run Golf & Racquet Club to apply for
a blanket variance to relieve Hunter's Run of the necessity of seeking individual
variances to. adjust rear yard setbacks necessitated by golf course
improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are true and correct and
are hereby ratified and confirmed by the City Commission.
Section 2. The City Commission does hereby authorize Hunter's Run
Golf & Racquet Club to apply for a blanket variance to relieve Hunter's Run of
the necessity of seeking individual variances to adjust rear yard setbacks
necessitated by golf course improvements;

This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
