O89-32ORDINANCE NO. 89-~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A FINAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1989, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1990; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS~ the City Charter of the City of Boynton Beack, Florida and the Laws of Florida require an appropriation ordinance be passed by the City Commission of said municipality each year, adopting a budget showing revenue of the City from all sources and the estimated expenditures for the various purposes for the ensuing fiscal year; and W~EREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach has complied with Florida Statutes 200.065; and W~RREAS, the accompanying ordinance stating the aggregate millage rate adopted by the City of Boynton Beach for the 1989-1990 Fiscal Year has been previously adopted. NOW T~RREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1: That the proposed budget for the ensuing fiscal year previously prepared by the City Manager, reviewed and amended by the City Commission, and now filed in the City Hall, City of Boynton Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby finalized and adopted for th~;.~fi's~a~;y~r~o,f~said municipality beginning October 1, 1989, and ending September 30, 1990, pursuant to and in compliance with the provisions of the City Charter of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida and the Laws of Florida, said budget being made a part hereof by reference. Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of ~26,919,490.00 to the General Fund for the payment of operating expenses and necessary capital outlays for the City Government pursuant to the terms of the above budget. Section 3: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $_11,045,701.00 to the interest and sinking fund for general debt service for the purpose of paying the interest, principal and reserve due on the general obligation bonds of the City not subject to statutory exemptions and for redeeming such bonds as they mature. Section 4: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of ~86,526.00 to the Publicity and Advertising Fund for the payment of operating expenses pursuant to the terms of the above budget. Section 5: That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its second reading and final passage. FIRST READING this ~day of September, 1989.
