A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN
AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE C1TY
OF BOYNTON BEACH AND THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION, EXTENDING THE LAND
ACQUISITION COMPI~ETION DATE FOR THE WILSON
CENTER AND PARK EXPANSION TO NOVEMBER 30,
2004; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in 2002, the City of Boynton Beach applied for and received a FRDAP
grant for the purchase of two pieces of properties adjacent to the Wilson Park, for future
expansion of the park; and
WHEREAS, to allow sufficient time for the City to acquire these properties and
preserve FRDAP funding for this project, it has become necessary to extend the land
acquisition completion date to November 30, 2004;; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach hereby authorizes
execution of an Amendment to the Agreement with the Florida Department of Environmental
Protection, (FRDAP), extending the land acquisition completion date for the Wilson Center
and Park expansion to November 30, 2004, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
