Minutes 03-23-88 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CITY COMMISSION MEETING HELD AT PINELAND PLAZA, BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23, 1988 AT 7:15 P. M. PRESENT Nick Cassandra, Mayor Peter L. Cheney, City Manager kalph Marchese, Vice Mayor Betty S. Boroni, City Clerk Ezell Hester, Jr., Commissioner Raymond A. Rea, City Attorney The Special Meeting was called to order at 7:15 P.M. RECEIPT OF RUNOFF ELECTION RETURNS Ma or Cas ' Y san~ra announced that Bob Olenik, Jr. received 3,864 of the total votes cast giving him 57.47% and Dee Zibelli received 2,860 of the total votes cast giving her 42.53%. He announced the City of Boynton Beach has a new Commissioner, Bob Olenik, Jr. The Mayor added that Ezell Hester, Jr. was unopposed and his hame did not appear on the ballot. lommissioner Hester moved to accept the results as pre- ented, seconded by Vice Mayor Marchese. Mayor Cassandra asked if the results had been certified by the Election 5oard as being accurate and Mrs. Boroni replied affir- natively. Motion carried 3-0. CTHER Mr. Cheney informed the Commission that a meeting is sche- duled on March 31 and suggested if the members arrive at seven o'clock, a picture will be taken of the Commission. He added there is also a meeting on March 29, the planning seminar, but a place has not been picked where it will e h~ld yet. There is a Commission Workshop on March 30 ~hich w 11 be on the 20 acre park. ' ADJOURNMENT Mayor Cassandra declared the meeting adjourned at 7:20 P.M.
